Brow Touchup - June 9, 2023 9am-10am
Day 5 - June 13, 2023
More flaking off small scabs with this 2x a day wipe clean and ointment. A bit of stinging. Much smoother brows when cleaning. Wiping off baby sheets of scabs is so satisfying. This time feels like a faster heal.
Day 4 - June 12, 2023
I woke up to a bit of flaking. This time my healing is different, not as stiff and scabbing like last time because I was instructed to wipe wash and clean my brows to help avoid scabbing. Due to my very oily skin, hoping it heals faster this time around rather than a whole month for scabs to fall off. What a difference. Also twice a day. Then ointment with tattoo goo. Still looking amazing!
Day 3 - June 11, 2023
I woke up to clean it and felt a tiny bit stinging, more tightness as it dries. No strenuous exercises, so far just walks, hats, and lifting weights for just a bit. Showering on my back only and haven’t washed my hair yet. Just used dry shampoo and sleeping sorta sitting up and facing up. Still a bit tired sleeping this way. I normally sleep in my side so I’m trying my best not to. No ink wiping off this time for todays cleaning once in the morning and once at night.
Day 2 - June 10, 2023
I woke up at 7am and I’m a bit tired while I tried sleep sorta sitting up because I was worried to fall asleep on my side because previously in the first session, I may have accidentally slept on my left face which caused the left corner to scab off, maybe too soon. Woke up with brows in tact! So I went to wash my brows with Cetaphil Sensitive skin face wash on a cotton pad to wipe. Then applied tattoo goo, just a rice size amount over the brows. I noticed the ink was oozing a bit out and appeared wet. Hoping it’s healing properly. No pain, starting, just a bit of tightness probably from it beginning to dry.
Day 1 - June 9, 2023
I am back after about 7 weeks for a touchup! It took only 1 hour and Arina did an amazing job fixing the shape and faded spots from the first round. 10 minutes to numb my brows, felt close to nothing for most of it. I have a half an inch scar above my left upper brow where the brow corner sits right under which is why it appears my right eyebrow too angle point seems more prominent. Arina knew how to shape it as evenly as possible along my natural brow arch for each side. I’m so happy! No pain! Just a tiny bit of stinging. Excited to see when it’s healed.
Previously it took a month for the scabbing to fall off completely. Which is long. I was instructed this time to wash it twice a day continuing to use the Cetaphil Sensitive skin face cleanser and after to use just a rice sized amount of tattoo goo up to 5 days to help avoid it scabbing. Thereafter would be washing and using tattoo goo once a day for 5 more days then dry healing. We shall see!
Powder Brow Tattoo Day!
Thursday, April 13, 2023 at 4pm-6pm with Arina
I’m in love! A picture right after leaving. It was about a 2 hour session. 30 minutes of pictures, prep, brow drawing, and 10 minutes of brow numbing.
After, I went home to follow the provided instructions and to trust the process.
AFTERCARE FOR EYEBROW TATTOOS
* Cleanse your eyebrows with the cotton pad wet in warm soapy water about every hour after the procedure done (it will reduce scabbing). Pat dry, and apply post-care if needed. Dry heal thereafter.
* Dry healing from day 5, use ointment if brows feel dry
* NO direct water, acidic cleansers, creams, makeup, or any other products on the treated area for 10 days.
* For powder brows using a clean Q-tip apply a VERY thin layer of the ointment in your aftercare kit 2-3 times a day for at least 10 days or until all scabs are off.
* DO NOT rub, pick or scratch the treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off. Picking can cause scarring and loss of pigment.
* Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 3-4 weeks after the procedure.
* Avoid hot, long showers, heavy sweating, pools, jacuzzis, and saunas for the first 10 days.
* NO facials treatments, tinting or botox for a month.
* If you do Laser, make sure to inform your technician and cover the area before the procedure. Laser can remove the pigment and leave blotchy coverage, and/or change the color.
* Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 10 days.
* Avoid gardening or contact with animals for 2 weeks following the procedure to prevent infection.
* If you experience symptoms of infection ( redness, swelling, tenderness of procedure site, red streaks going from procedure site towards heart, elevated body temperature ,or purulent drainage from procedure site) or allergic reaction, seek medical care immediately.
Long term care:
* Once the area has healed, use sunscreen on the treated area daily to prevent pigment from fading prematurely.
* Eyebrow tinting and the use of skin care products with retinoids and acids around the treated area will cause pigment to fade prematurely..
* When getting a facial/chemical peel or laser treatment, inform the technician of your permanent cosmetics.
